You people are so ignorant and cruel. This girl is in the 6th grade. By no means should she be on a "diet", her body is at it's peak developmental stage and NO CHILD should diet until their body has developed completely unless they are extremely obese or at risk for other health problems caused by an unhealthy diet. To Carrie W, being thin, straightening your hair and wearing make up won't make you a great woman, nurture what's on the inside, educate yourself, be who you are, the rest will fall into place.

Don't listen to the other comments. If you're in 6th grade, more than likely, ur gonna lose the extra weight naturally as you get older. Don't try diets.......they'll overwhelm you. I started worrying about weight when I was like nine and I'm still struggling to stop being on the edge of an eating disorder. As for frizzy hair, just straighten your hair with a flat iron and use either gel or pressing oil before you straighten it. Good luck and don't worry about losing weight. Keep a positive self-ego

As long as you eat healthy, don't worry about your weight. When I was in the 6th grade I gained a ton of weight because of puberty, and I have lost a lot of it and haven't changed anything about my diet or exercise. Most girls are going to naturally gain a little weight when they're around your age, so don't worry about it :)
Since you have frizzy hair, try buying some sort of cream or spray that says 'de-frizz' on it. It will help a lot. Use a shampoo for frizzy hair and a leave in conditioner for it as well. A good line for frizzy hair is - http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collections/none_of_your_frizzness/
Don't wear too much makeup, but a little mascara and some lip gloss is fine.
Hope that helps.

Last year when i was in 6th grade i h ad th same prob. So i bought a cheap straightener at Target and i bought straightening and smoothing creams and conditioners there too, and with and hour of straightening, my hair looked neater!
Then for weight, i didn't have a major problem, but i chewed gum when i was bored so i wouldn't go right to the fridge. Then i drank a lot more milk, ate more yogurt, bought fat free versions of a lot of foods, and ate Special K for breakfast every morning, and i got more excercise by jogging and walking my dog, and i lost some weight gradually in a few months! Also try wearing clothes that will make you feel more confident. But the most important part that i found, is don't go on major diets, because they really are stupid, and smile and look proud, because then people will see you more positively too! Thanks, i hoped i helped!
PS, you were my first person i did on Yahoo! yay!
Love, Smiley

First of all- smile! big happy smiles! People with smiles improve so much.
Then, to help with the chubbiness, don't wear tight or spandex clothes. Wear like linen or cotton blouses and mid-calf length skirts. and of course, do try to actually lose the weight. Go for a brisk 30 minute walk every day, stop eating sweets, and take up dance.
For the frizzy hair, the night before you wash it, sleep with a lot of olive oil in it. It's amazing. then, after you wash it and it's completely dry, get a cheap ($20) conair cermamic straightener- anywhere. Walmart, eckerds, walgreen's- it doesn't matter what brand, really the $100 ones aren't any better.
And don't forget- SMILE!

If you feel good you'll look good .First start by exercising ,walk everyday for 20 mins no matter how tired you get Walk Everyday!
then increase your time to 30 mins when you can handle the 20 mins.
Next stop drinking sodas and junk food, believe me I know it is hard because I am a chocoholic, eat more fruit and drink lots of water squeeze lemon in it to give it a better taste. Buy a flat iron it doesn't have to be a real expensive one Target has a few good cheap ones, but make sure to apply a smoothing creme before
using ,Suave has a good one. pratice using the flat iron on the weekends until you get perfect to use for school days, it takes time to get it right ,but you will just be patience.Good Luck!!!

Relax, you're just going through an awkward phase that everyone goes through. For frizzy hair get yourself a straightening iron and some hair products for frizz. Try a sleeking hair serum. And don't worry, right now you are in the process of discovering your own identity. It'll sneak up on you before you know it.

Well, first of all, don't fret too much. The girls that start out like that usually blossom into beautiful young women as they grow up more.
But if you want to change, you might try to cut down on snacks, or snack on fruits and vegetables. Also get exercise when you can. Then, I'd try to find some way to straighten your hair, make it straight, long and pretty. Good luck!

It depends on what you think is attractive. Try to find different looks in a teen magazine that would look stylish on you. Remember, you are not trying to look like a totally different person, but a more refined version of yourself. I'm sure your beautiful and you just need a look that will make you feel more confident. Also remember that good health is essential, so try to be more active and eat nutritious foods so that you can maintain a healthy weight. Also your skin and hair will look healthy and glow. Good luck.

So, your chubby and you have frizzy hair?
Well for frizzy hair....try John Friea's frizz products, they work awsome but a lil over priced. If your chubby, just excersie everyday for about 25-30 minutes. Good luck girly :)
