I watched a documentary recently on the Food Network and it gave backround info. on Paula Deen, Ina Garten and Giada DeLaurentis. I believe the show was called "Chefography"?? Anyway, Paula and Ina film their shows in their own homes, Giada films a whole season's worth of shows (or at least a large amount at one time) in someone's home- it changes every so often. I don't know about Rachael Ray or Sandra Lee-- it looks like a set to me though.

I saw one episode on the food network that went behind the scenes. I don't know if I remember correctly. But I know Giada DeLaurentiis has her show filmed in an actual kitchen. I think the rest are filmed in a studio

I think they may be sets for most, but I'm not sure about Giada or the Barefoot Contessa.
