I'm having trouble telling if my 2 Angelfish are male or female. One of them has black-ish stripes going vertically and the other has a plain body with a black stripe going down from its eye. Please help I'm getting frustrated calling my fish "it"s. I could also use help with my Bala sharks.

Sexing Angelfish can be difficult. In mature fish, the male has a more rounded head profile than the female. The female has a smal tube that is about twice as thick as the tube on the male - evident only when they are spawning.
what did you need help with the bala sharks (tricolor shark)? sexing? its hard to sex them. but they are egg layers and they do breed in capitivity.

you can't reliably sex angels until they breed and you catch them at it. Each one has a small tube from it's belly when breeding and the males is more narrow and pointed than the females.

Bala sharks are impossible to sex visually except that when in breeding condition the females tend to be a little fatter than the males.
