STROMBERG 175 cd carb water temperature controlled choke?

would this carb flood out with gas, if the choke was not working due to no water running to the choke ? stromberg 175 cd carb on a 330 mercedes motor

potentally yes. why don't you get a 175 from a salvage yard off of a triumph tr 6 these had manual chokes and a righthand throttle [front carb] and left hand throttle [rear carb] and just be rid of the troublesome autochoke.
