This question makes me cry. I love them both. I've had both and lost so many to death. I prefer cats though, because they are such clean animals and don't have any body odor. I had a cat for 14 years and he got cancer. I had to have him put to sleep and I am still not over him even though it has been a lot of years. He loved to fetch a ball just like a dog. He'd run get it and bring it back and drop it at my feet for me to throw it again. I miss him terribly.

Cats are cleanser. dogs stink up the homestead. in spite of the undeniable fact that it incredibly relies upon on your decision. i'm a cat individual, yet i've got met some dogs I cherished lots. My modern puppy is a cat, and he's stunning. some human beings think of cats don't have character, yet they actually do. regardless of you pick, be good to it and spend time with it. Even cats choose interest and affection. dogs choose workout. @ Lilly's answer: a cat's clutter field isn't nasty if the owner cleans it on a daily basis. maximum of any animal mess relies upon upon the owner. yet once you prefer to %. on cats, i'm going to %. on dogs. They roll of their very own poop and then come lick you in the face.

I like both. It's apples and oranges though. You love cats for the cat-like things they do, and dogs for the dog-like things.

Both!

Cats are so soft and comfortable in the lap. Not to mention how relaxing their purrs are.

And then dogs are so silly and friendly, great buddies to horse around with.

Unfortunately, I am HIGHLY allergic to cats. And it gets worse as I get older. I used to not have any problems and now I get a rash if they rub up against me and hives if they scratch or lick me. So I just get to play with puppies.
