The universe will eventualy die due to expansion right??? if thats true then is this theory possible???
The Eternal Return is basically the theory that there is infinite time and a finite number of events, and eventually the events will recur again and again infinitely. Consider the world as a super-complex chess game. If games of chess are played one after another forever, eventually a game will be repeated since there is only a finite number of possible games, it is the same with the world; eventually events will recur in the same order. The world is an eternal process of coming to be and passing away. The process, however, has no beginning or end. Eventually every combination of matter and energy will be realized and repeated and infinite number of times. it was one of the main topics of the philosopher nietzsche.

(this is NOT reincarnation, it is reliving life over and over EXACTLY down to the last detail. its the same life over and over for all eternity)

the thought is very disturbing cause we have to relive this life over and over forever. and i have NOT had an easy life

I think the fallacy in this theory is if we consider that there is an infinite amount of time - then there is no reason to assume there would be only a finite number of events. Given an infinite amount of time, a repeating set of events would necessarily have an infinite number of possibilities and variations. Life is not a chess game - from birth to death and everything in between makes it infinitely more complex. It's basically the perfect example of the uncertainty principal - consider the possible long term effects of even the most trivial decisions made through out your life. How many times have you said to yourself "IF only I had...." or "What IF I had...." - and, the next time around, maybe you will and things will turn out entirely different.

I saw this written on a bathroom wall:

"Nietzsche is Dead"
God

You are equating this to the chess games. Unfortunately, on a simple level this is true; however, as you study this more you realize it looses the similarities rather quickly. Because one chess game can annouce you as the winner, then you play others and that same game & same result will be repeated. For us; however, you are talking about every single event from the big bang ( and before leading up to the big bang) and all events afterward to be repeated exactly as they were with the same influences, and leading to the same result. In theory it is possible but that possibility is so remote the time between repetitions would be larger than any number of eons you could think of. That may of itself be an infinity.
Consider it this way, put a certain number of things in a bowl and mix them up this mixture is our universe. Do this many times and each time you get a different mix. However, of itself that is part of the pattern that led to us, and all the past universes have to be created in the exact order in which they had the first time not to mention all of the events in every universe has to happen in the precise order also. From the simplest event such as, a snow storm begining at a specific location at a very precise moment in time, to a fish swimming left instead of right in a creek. So now I do not think we would even be looking at eons but on the low end I'd say we are probably talking in terms of eons in the google-plex range.

What's disturbing? You don't seem to have learned from your previous existence, so your'e simply going post this same question the next time around.
