my daughter is 13 and still hasnt gotten her period!! is this normal?

Perfectly normal!!! I got mine when I was about 13/14 and I've known 16 year olds who haven't had it yet!

I think you should count her lucky. And yes, it is normal. I got my period when I was 13 but it was less than 2 weeks away from my 14th birthday. (My sister wasn't so lucky, she got hers before she turned 12.) If she doesn't have her period by the time she is 16, she should see a doctor.

Yep, let nature takes it's course. She will begin her cycles when it is her time and not before. I have been told that someone that has not begun her periods and then becomes sexually active may more or less encourage nature. Its a body thing. My daughter was 14 before she started. I was only 9.

Yes hon its perfectly normal I have two daughters and one was 15 and the other was 17 so dont worry

Yeah, it's normal. Some girls have gotten it at 18.

yes. that is normal. people sometimes get their period late. sometimes even later that 13....like 16. i remember...i think one of my best friends got her period when she was 14.

yes, it is normal a girl can wait til she is at least 15 to have her period and then after you might want her to get looked at by a docter

I believe normal in this case would be based on the individual and yes the absence of her mensis would be normal

yes usually a period does not start until Jr High. Look back at when you started yours!

Of course it's normal! I didn't get mine until I was 18!
