I have a 300watt 12v 19A. It has a GeForce 7300GT Turbo Force Edition running off this power supply. It works fine.
My Question is can I run a GeForce 7600GT card.
Specs 350 watt minimum power supply
12v 18A.
Should I ignore the watts and go by the Amps?
I think I read somewhere the 7600GT only uses 36watts.
Thank You!

I don't know for sure, but my guess would be just ignore the total wattage and go by the amps. NVidia's recommendation takes into account PSUs that may be old or inefficient, and they also estimate for high power-draw CPUs like the Pentium 4. If the card draws power off the 12v rail, then the amperage of that is all that matters. Going from 7300GT -> 7600GT isn't going to be such a large jump in power usage that you're going to exceed the PSU's capacity.

If you are running those types of video cards, I would recommend nothing less than a 450 or 500 watt power supply.

Your 300 watt supply is not sufficent for something requiring 350.

The power rating (watts) is the measure you need to be concerned with.

go onto best buy or gateway or maybe nvidia or geforce.com and look for yourself i guess you could buy it and try it out but i would do my research first. I have a 6600 but i'm gonna upgrade.
