i have five boys and i am now 27 weeks pregnant. when i had my sono done i was bout 18 weeks pregnant and the tech said it is a girl! it was a clear shot and it didnt look like what i had seen with the boys but..........im still in disbelief, lol!!! with the boys they said that they were boys and they were but i know that techs can make mistakes. there are three white lines and she said that is the girl parts (that if i would have been farther along you would actually be able to see the GIRL parts and not just the three white lines)..........i was just wandering when others had a sono when pregnant with a girl is that what it looked like on your sono...........three white lines???

I am 19 weeks pregnant, and had my sono a few weeks ago, they said it was a girl...i asked the tech to point out how she could tell, and yep, 3 little lines! No little pokey thing sticking out! :) This is my 4th pregnancy, and my 3rd girl. My youngest is 3, and he'll be my only boy...and with his sonogram, you could definately tell he was a boy!!! I still sometimes question the accuracy of the sono. because it was done when i was 16 weeks preg., but i should know better because i've had 3 other children. You just always worry that the old horror stories will come true: a sonogram tells you it's a girl, you go out and buy tons of pink and flowery, and PRESTO! You deliver a boy! I think you'll be O.K. I think WE'LL be O.K.! :) Good luck!

Congrat are in for u!! 3 white lines!! Yes, these are the signs that shows that the baby u r carrying is a girl!!!
So far, it has been true for all my younger sisters,... ( we are 10 to 17 yrs diff) Everytime my mum did a sono, a girl will show up wif a nice shot of 3 white lines!
Yet, a word of caution.... Usually, oni 80% of d tech's words are true,... Still there exist a 20% uncertainty.

Yes with my daughter we found out at 13 weeks that it was a girl.. There was 3 white lines.. They was all side by side and there was no mistakeing it.. If you arent to sure wait a little while longe and see if they do another sono. If so then they will be able to give you a definant......

i am not sure i am weeks with my third child and when i got my sono at 19 weeks i saw three white lines and they said it is a girl but i am just nervous so be careful but if that is what you want good luck

Congratulations! With my little girl, we saw 3 little lines all parallel on the sonogram at 16 weeks and she was definitely a girl. About.com has an ultrasound gallery so you can compare what your ultrasound pics look like against other people's.

Pretty much the same as u described .. Ive had two girls and one boy and you can deffinatly tell the difference! Yes the lines are Girls bits!!

i was told three white lines that look like a little hamburger is a girl..and the shape of a turtle is a boy..lol...so to me it sounds like a girl..and when i found out the sex of my baby in december..it surely looked like a little turtle...good luck and congrats..

Yep that is what it looked like with my daughter just 3 white lines. I know sort of weird I questioned it also. They must know what they are talking about because my daughter is 6mo old and they were right. LOL

I've always heard that 3 little lines=girl! I'm hoping that's what I see when I go for my u/s!
