I'm aware of the cosmetic issues (scratches), but I drive a lot and I want to make sure that the dust storm didn't damage anything in the engine.

i own a repair shop, and id check and make sure my air filter was really good and clean on it,and make sure it didn't get in any thing that might be affected by heavy dust, such as around the gas cap, when you open it ,it could fall in,it might not be a bad idea to take an air hose and blow the engine off a little, other than that it should be fine,id also clean out the tube that leads to the breather Assembly on it,dust can get in some weird places when its being blown around by high winds, good luck,i hope this help,s.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.getpchealthboost.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

Change the air filter immediately and when you do that look inside the airfilter box to see if there is any sand. Second, when you step on the brakes, have the windows rolled down and listen for a grinding sound. If you hear that, go to the nearest brake shop and have the drums removed and cleaned out. If your car is fairly new you will have drums on the rear and disks on the front. The front should be OK

Have the air filter checked and the oil changed. Check with a couple local mechanics but use common sence, they might try to sell you more than you need.
