I went to the doctor to get an early ultra-sound, and the radiolgist said I was 13 weeks and 6 days, so when would I be due? Does anyone know?? Sometime in August, but I'm wondering what day should I be telling people. It was orginaly Sept. 8th, but I was further along than what I thought I was. I'm so excited!!

and to Johnanahhhh whatever her name is, Yes they can tell you to do the days by looking at how big the baby is, they all grow at the same rate for the first 6 months, and yes, I'am going to have a scheduled c-section! and thanks for no answer!! :)

If you call your doctors office tomorrow they can tell you what the new due date is by looking at your chart. Just tell them you were so excited during the ultrasound you forgot to ask!

In the meantime, you can just be vague and say "Early this fall" or "August".

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS! It's so exciting, isn't it?

(Pshaw Johanna! You could have at least looked up how doctors do fetal dating instead of being smug and superior and raining on someone's day.)

Johanna S - If you've had 4 kids, unless it was a very long time ago, you should know that ultrasounds are very accurate in determining how far along a baby is in their development. Doctors routinely predict down to the day. My doctor has for me, and all of my friends who are or have been pregnant in the last few years were given exact days, too. Where have you been? Now, that doesn't mean that the baby will be born on the exact day they predict - babies come when they are ready, not on the day the doctor says. But the whole point is to have a relatively accurate reference point.

Like everyone else is saying, it will be the end of august. On the ultrasound machine my doctor used, the due date came up automatically when they calculated how far along she was, so next time check, or ask, of course.

What's more fun is betting on when it will actually be. Nobody bet actual money or anything, but there was a lot of bragging rights going with getting the right day among my family and friends (in the end she fooled them all and went on a day no one guessed)

First of all congradulations!!!! Baby doesn't care less what day you tell people. Your baby will come whenever she/he wants to. Most babies are not born on thier due date anyways and your due date will possibly change several times between now and August anyways. I have a friend that is due in May. She has had her own health complications that required her to get several ultra-sounds done in one day and they were all slightly different as far as exactly how pregnant she was. They pretend to know, but babies are very unpredictable. Try to enjoy the pregnancy, Start getting the basics ready. Then sit back, pamper yourself and wait and see when baby decides to join us in this world.

I would assume around the end of August... And dont listen to people when they tell you a doctor can give you weeks and dates this early.. In my first pregnancy I was 10 weeks and 5 days at my first ultrasound.... Congratulations.. and Best of Luck

A normal pregnancy is between 40 and 41 weeks. But just tell people "mid August" since the baby doesn't care about any silly due date, anyway!
And congrats!

Hi. I'm 11 weeks 5 days, so you'd be due 2 weeks and 1 days before me. And my due date is September 15th. So yours would be August 31st! Congrats!

I was 18 weeks yesterday, and I am due on Aug. 1st. So I would estimate that you will be 4 weeks behind me, so your due date would be around the 30th of Aug. Congratulations.
