With a lift kit and not counting the cost of replacing the expensive tires?

It's a dodge 4x4 - 2001 - manual transmission that I'm looking at buying.

hi there.

it all depends on how you drive the vehicle.

if it is used for everyday to work and back then the maintenance will be nominal.

if you off road the vehicle a lot then you will have to step up your maintenance to match the abuse you put into the vehicle.

i hope this helps. i off road my vehicle and i maintain it well.

Routine maintenance is not significantly more, Repairs can be more when needed, there are more parts to break down. The manual transmission is a plus for reliability, Clutches are cheap compared to an auto transmission rebuild.

Yes, they are more expensive to maintain. You have a transfer case that isn't there on a 2wd, and you also have a front differential (also not there on a 2wd). Both of these items use fluids, so they need to be changed. If you do a lot of offroading, they will need to be changed more frequently, and trust me, it adds up.
