Okay, I had a normal period that seemed to almost go away and then it picked back up to bright red spotting. So, i've had bleeding at some leval for 15 days now.
I took a clearblue digital test and it said I was pregnant today. I went to the doctor and my HCG is only 6. I am going back to get more blood work done on saturday to see if it rises or not.

First off, I was quite suprised to get a positive home pregnancy test with an hcg of only 6, but i'm worried about the fact that i've been having all this bright red spotting for so long.

I know there is a posiblity that I might be in the process of miscarrige, but I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts.

something does sound outta whack, what I mean is that you are right usually the most sensitive hpt's detect for 20 mIu hcg, and the most sensitive I have seen is here in Germany at 10.. so you are right I am surprised that your hpt picked it up.
Anyway, like the other person said I would have your doctor do repeat test for your levels, they generally double every two to three days..
As much as i hate to say it , it could be a chemical pregnancy, I have had two.. However, I never bled that long, only as long as my normal period only heavier..
Anyway, post back when you get some answers..I am sorry that you have this uncertainty in your life right now..
Good luck.
Kym

A 6 is very low....a non pregnant woman usually has between 0 and 5...What you are experiencing may be a chemical pregnancy..which simply means that the egg was fertilized but failed to implant....HCG levels should double every 2-3 days...did you start bleeding at the time of expected period or were you late? 15 days seems too long to have any type of bleeding so the best thing is to have the blood test again and see what the levels are...this should tell you whats going on....Good Luck!

Some women spot during their first trimester and it's completely normal. I, on the other hand, spotted during my first trimester and had a miscarriage---doesn't mean that you will. I am concerned, however, about your low hcg levels. Ask your doctor to re-test your levels. They should double every 2-3 days in a viable pregnancy. Good luck to you honey.

Talk to your OB/GYN some people have bleeding during the first few monthes of pregnancy. Assume you are pregnant which means no drinking, no drugs and be careful about over the counter medication. If you have stomache cramping or bad abdominal pain go to the ER. Otherwise tell your doctor everything and follow thier advise.
