Its good,people should learn to understand other peoples cultures etc better,that way they will be able to have more respect for people outside there own ethic back ground.

and have more friends in there circle.

life is like a box of crayons,the more colors you have in your box, the pretier the picture you will make (your circle of freinds).

and black history month is VERY IMPORTANT to every American.

It educates us ALL.

Black history month is nothing more than Liberal pandering to get black votes.
Why not a white history month? Or better yet a WASP history month. Certainly the record of accomplishment by White Christians is impressive as there has never been a society to accomplish what white people have accomplished if you look at western civilization. As we drift into socialism and abandon our Christian Heritage it will become lost or impotent. It should be studied and recognized as something to cherishand maintain.
Another thing that Black history month accomplishes is that it creates division, rather than unity with many great Americans of all colors and races accomplishing great things togather, it is me against you.

I think Black History Month is awsome; we all can appreciate African Americans helped bring success to our country. Without Martin Luther King, and all those Africans that stood up to discrimination, our views on blacks would be different.

i think it should not exist unless of course you have a designated month for all other types of people......same as for the "black movie awards", and the "Black entertainment television"....and such if I started an awards ceremony that was labeled the "White movie awards" I'd be labeled racist....this is one weird country/world we live in.....

Im frankly tired of people saying their needs to be other ethnic months, during civil rights and slavery, it was white and black. Im gonna be honest,everyday is white history day. And everytime blacks do something other people are always critisizing and complaining as if. Well white people want to be equal: have white slavery, years of obvious inequality, and lowdown portrayls. We'll then be equal.

I think black mythology month is a brain-washing tool. It attempts to convince people that blacks have actually accomplished something.

One of my favorites I saw on TV recently; "a black man MAY HAVE been the first to sight land on one of Columbus' ships".
They went on to say;"it PROBABLY wasn't the first time blacks had seen the New World".
I loved the way they said 'may have' and 'probably'.
