No, he cannot.

Do you understand why he doesn't like McDonalds?

Because, in addition to being the Prince of Wales, he is also an organic farmer.

Nothing organic or otherwise natural about McDonalds. It is the epitome of artificial when it comes to food, not just in some of the ingredients it uses and the way the ingredients are sourced and processed, but also their descriptions. For example, did you know that McDonalds' "fries" are actually made from a combination of flour, powdered egg and powdered milk with artificial potato flavoring? There have been recent successful lawsuits against the company by people who are allergic to gluten or lactose, or who are vegans, who have unwittingly consumed McDonalds' "fries", some who have had near-fatal allergic reactions.

McDonalds would be OK if they came clean about what actually goes into their food, IMHO. Kids like McDonalds, but of course they neither know nor care what they're eating. Prince Charles cares a lot about what he - and everybody else in Britain - eats. We are by far the fattest and most unhealthy country in Europe, and one of the fattest and most unhealthy in the world.

I don't think it can be banned .... by anyone at all, and although i am in favor of freedom of choice and people making informed decisions about what they should eat and what is good for them, the fact that Prince Charles has highlighted the subject will make more people aware that this TYPE of food is inherently unhealthy if eaten on a regular basis.

Well done Charles for having the guts to speak out though. He means well.

No, definitely not. When President Bush comes to visit, causing the Brits to riot in London, the Oxford Street branch of McDonalds gets its windows kicked in. If McDonalds was not there, other innocent traders would suffer damage to their property.

I wish it would be but Prince Charles has no authority to ban it here.
