An insider from MTV is claiming that the decision has been made by the network, to cancel the Wrestling Society X series, according to Dave Scherer. The move is believed to have been made earlier today, and was done due to the drop in ratings since its first week.
It is unknown if the six remaining episodes will air on MTV or not. Scherer adds that it's already been stated that the series will be pulled immediately.
Though apparently pulled by MTV, Big Vision Entertainment retains the rights to the promotion, so it is possible that WSX could move the series to a different network or release DVDs, if they decide to continue.
As this news comes from a source from MTV, it is important to remember that at this moment, the network has not made any public indications that WSX is indeed canceled. The series is still listed on the MTV website to air this Tuesday at 10:30PM (Eastern), while clips of WSXtra are still posted as well.

Because of poor ratings. It wasn't even averaging the ratings most MTV shows get (which are quite small in the first place).
Dusty Rhodes has been placed on ECW's creative team and has been smart the past two weeks. He's been putting CM Punk in the second half hour when WSX is on and it has garnered ECW the ratings for the time slot.

Wrestling Society X, Just did not work.
I think they were aiming for something similar to what ECW once was.
Its 30 minues long which gives them time for 2-3 good matches or one real classic. But they also have a band playing to take a few minutes of time up as well
The guys they were using are mostly guys who had tried out with other promotions and had left for one reason or another.
And the things they do though extreme are not well shot enough with the camera to make them seem exciting.

hi Lioness, i attempted to discover "objectified" and "objectification" in the dictionary and no excitement. nicely, i'm no longer precisely advantageous I understand your queston, yet think of i could have an concept. besides, have you ever heard of the "bell curve"? this is a curve it is formed like a bell and does a stable activity of representing documents. As for elegance, at one end of the curve we've the least beautiful and on the different end the main. the comparable could be real for earnings ... poorest on one area and richest on the different. in the midst of the bell we've each and all of the first human beings. i think of what you're asserting is real, yet in simple terms in simple terms a actuality of existence. we've the completed spectrum for the two genders. As for why men do no longer protest ... i assume they understand that this is in simple terms the way issues are and protests are no longer likely to alter something. desire this helps!

I'm not really sure why it was MTV to being with. Other than their stupid ring announcer, WSX was pretty cool.

I didn't know they cancelled it. That sucks. It was way better than anything ECW is doing. They should at least put the matches they taped up on their website.
