I don't ever think I will stop loving my first love. We just recently disconnected last week and then I came to grips with it and I was angered at him for calling me names and thought that I no longer loved him anymore. But, his friend passed away today and I felt it in my heart just pure ache for the pain he is going through. I've realized I still love him and always will.

My first love has been through so much from losing his grandfather at age 10 to losing his father in November. He also lost his aunt and lives in what was her house. He is truely my hero and an inspiration to me because I admire him to overcoming all he has been through.

yes, i think you will always love your first love. just because you got to experience it for the first with him/her, and you will always have that bond.

Nah--it's been nearly a decade now and guess what? I don't love him at all.
I realized after a few years that I never really loved him. I thought I did, but it wasn't really LOVE. It was desperation for affection. I was like every other fat teenager who thought she had to have a boyfriend to feel worthwhile in the world.
Guess what?!
I'm older now. I'm married. I have kids. I realized (and hopefully you will too) that the first love is just a starting block. You remember and grow, but someday you'll see how young you really did act.

i cant say that i will always love him because how can i love another if i still cant let go of my feelings towards my first love.i will not love him anymore but he will always have a special place in my heart and no one can change that hes been already part of my life and he has already leaved a front print in my heart and shared a special moments and memories will always be memories that cant be taken away from us .and everything that happens in the past is past and must face the future you have to move on for your happiness you cant jus live with the past move on boy.maybe your not for her.

I guess my first love was the man I was married to 22 yrs. I loved him --but I was not in-love with him. Today, he is still a friend, father of my grown children and he and I have a love for each other but it is more of a "caring" love. I am glad that he and I and each of our current spouses can be friends.
So I guess to answer your question...yes, I will always love my first love... just in a different way.

Although that's a nice story, I do not feel the same way for my first love. Things got pretty ugly with her and I and we realized that being together wasn't an option any more. That was a long time ago and there are no hard feelings.

Yes I would because he loved me and hurt me at the same time. That's how I know what hurt really means. Plus he changed me from girl to woman. So I will always remember him for that and hold him in my heart.

whenever you break up and find somebody new, it will never feel the same. not all people are the same, so you love certain people indifferent ways. i guess the memory of your first love acts as a standard that all future lovers compare to; and in a way the feelings you had for that person won't really ever go away either

i don't think so. I don't love my first love anymore but I have this soft spot for him. I moved on that's for sure and I no longer think of what could happen if we're together. He will always be someone special cos he's my first love but that's all.
