What "The Truth" said. And, eliminate all that fancy stuff. Backgrounds, Screen savers, shadows on your cursor..etc.. that should give it a little more speed. Might want to add some RAM, and up your virtual memory settings as well.

yea defrag your computer, um do some ad-aware things to toake off spyware and also run norton anti virus.

Defragment hard drive clean up any old files and make sure you have enough RAM

update it and upgrade it
you can reinstal your windows
also you may want ot consider upgrading the RAM
