Are given the questions before the show?

I don't think the kids are given the questions before the show. It's basic stuff that they cover in their curriculum and we as adults learned it at one point too but have since replaced it with other stuff and pushed it aside as not as important. I've gotten most of the questions right but I've also been stumped on quite a few too. When we don't review and keep it fresh in our minds it kind of just fades out I think.

I don't know I don't think I am. The ones on the show are pretty smart. But I know for a fact I'm smarter than some fith graders. An example is above when I wrote fact at first I wrote it fack.

It's possible, but they'd be taking an awfully big chance by doing it!
Unfortunately, it's not that hard to believe that the fifth graders are beating the adults. We've all been there, seen that.

I believe they are the top of all fifth graders in the country.

No,because when my niece was in 5th grade 2 years ago,she was doing things I didn't start until 8th grade...and I'm only 19 now.Standards seem to get higher and higher as years go by.Plus,the kids are probably top of their class too.Alot of you people are too cynical.

No, but the adults should have been!!
I will admit that my kids are smarter than me in academic ways, the ways of life are my forte!!

no, you have to remember that they learned about all this stuff recently, whereas adults have gone how many years without going to school everyday. I don't think they're the smartest 5th graders, but they're definitely not the dumbest.

yes. who the hell knows when columbus day is. i mean c'mon. that show is all fake to. some of those questions are so easy. closest star. well yeah the sun or red and yellow. duh orange. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out and it doesn't take 5 frickin minutes to answer a question. that show just wants its ratings to go up thats why its on after american idol
