So, my friend who's ten years old has a boyfriend who's also ten years old. She told me last year she had sex with her boyfriend. I don't make a big deal out of it because they're both the same age. However, I told her she could behave herself a little more, for sex is not the answer.
Last year October she told me she was not feeling well, so I took her to see the doctor. Result was: Pregnant.
We both agreed not to get the parents involved because this would cause a major problem. I asked her kindly if the ten year old boy is the father; she said yes.
On Jan 1st her parents suspected her pregnancy and decided to punish their daughter. I got involved and took her away. She's now 5 months pregnant, and her boyfriend who's ten still comes by. Her parents called me and told me to keep their daughter because they don't want to see her anymore. Well, I'm a college student and I need to keep up in school. I can't babysit at this point. What am I going to do?

I would turn the child over to protective services they will make the parents take charge of the girl

She is ten years old, she needs to go back to her parents and have them deal with it. They need to make sure she goes to a different school than the ten year old boy! What in the world, ten years old! Come on that is not ok. She needs a good punishment for what she has done. Right, or else how is she going to learn? Let's say the parent's don't do anything about it, then what she taught herself a lesson because she realized she made a huge mistake? No. She will do it again and then her parents will have another baby to raise. She needs help.

You're confused?! Hey, I'm confused for two reasons--two ten yr olds knowing about and performing sex to the point of pregnancy, and a college student having a 10 yr old as a friend! Nothing directly against you the person, but I'm surprised her parents are not demanding a DNA to see if the father is you! And, if your story is true (if I were in your local area and heard about this, I'd personally would double-check for validity), the media would be all over this on a national level! Anyway, assuming every bit is true, you're going to have to tell her parents that your life is full and you can't honor their request.

Am not believing this,,a 10 year old does not have menstruation nor a 10 year old boy able to father a child.You are confused.

my god they are both 10 years old?that's tragic.has the boy told his parents about that?maybe you should discuss with both parents and find a solution...all of you and if they don't care then consider a program which takes care of these situations...
you should know you are really brave and a wonderfull person for helping them...one day you will be rewarded...

Ask her grand parents or any of her relatives to take care of her; otherwise, you need to talk to a social worker. God bless!

I think it would be wise to distance yourself from the relationship for a little while. Keep writing, your friend will understand.
