The desire to adjust reality and science in order to pass into religious dogma.

Christianity grabbed the european population by the short hairs and tortured millions and created a highly disciplined population that knew how to follow orders. thus, great armys and navies evolved to conquor the rest of the world. it does appear the tide is turning.
