Asking here is a first step. I don't know what grade you are in. But at any level a good teacher will support you if you talk to them and let them know whats going on. A test is a way to see if you are learning what your supposed to be but it isn't the only way. Some students do better orally, others could sit down and write everything they've learned but couldn't match question to answer to save their life. If your really not learning the information you need to let someone know that too. A school counselor or psychologist is your best bet there don't be afraid to ASK.

Good luck

First of all, just because you didn't do well on a test, doesn't mean you're not smart. You are smart! Your friends are getting better scores probably just because it comes easier to them. I'm sure there are things that are easier for you too. You might have some test anxiety too, that is really hard to deal with. I suggest this....relax a little bit and stop being so hard on yourself. If you need extra help, don't be afraid to ask for it!! Good luck!

Make sure you enjoy it.
forget about passing.

In the end that is what matters.
