Phil Keaggy is a great guitarist. Raul Midon is someone I have recently gotten into. Andres' Segovia was a classical master. There are a lot of great players out there. Start with some simple songs and go from there.

I like Django Rheinhardt, he was an incredible talent who played jazz despite having been seriously burned as a child and losing two fingers. Being Latino, you may want to check out flamenco legend Paco de Lucia, amazing speed and fluidity. Whatever you do, don't get discouraged as a beginner when you hear guys like this play. Stick with it.

Remember, they were beginners once too!
