I just feel like everywhere I look, there are memories, people and places that bring a sorta discomfort from my previous marriage. I have been talking to someone from another state and he feels that I need to start over in his state to have a new (better) life and to work on us.

We have been separated since August 19, 2005. So, does the time alone count from that time or from the divorce? I have grieved for a long time already. So, when is it over?

I don't think you can run from memories, and I think moving there, to another state, would be a mistake. Take your time, heal, and then decide where you want to live the rest of your life. Good Luck!!

I'd be cautious moving to another state on the advice from someone who is showing an interest in you. You want to make sure and take some time to get over the divorce and not jump into another relationship right away. Having fun is okay, but take some time to get to know you are an individual person and understand what mistakes you have made in the previous choice of marriage. You don't want to jump into another relationship just because you don't feel you can live alone. It could lead to another failure right away. You will need to grieve through this failed relationship just like has had to do in your shoes. It takes a little time, but trust me you will find that making a decision you are talking about should be considered carefully and not until you are sure you are moving for the right reasons.

I think you need to be by yourself right now to get over the divorce..you shouldn't jump right into another relationship or you may regret it terribly. Moving to another state is a good idea, but i would only recommend a place where you have friends or family already if you have any in another state or you might get seriously lonely not having anyone you know or love...and you need people who love you around to help you through this tough time..good luck with whatever you decide

Not enough info, but I have to say firstoff, if there are any kids, moving out of state could be very hard on the kids. Other than that, a change of location could be very refreshing...BUT why are you worried about what another man says? What do you want? You've gotten out of one marriage, in which everything was a compromise for a man, and now here you are again, wanting to do it all over again. What about a few years for yourself? Are you scared to be just you? I know you can do it.

Its over when you say its over and you move on. If you can afford and are capable of packing up and rollin to another state, that's the best thing to do. Although...wen your over something, your over it. You cant run from state to state after every break up. You need to just come to grips that its over and move on so you can be happy. Learn to love yourself and be happy with your self. (where ever you are)

It won't ever be over, its all in how you let time help you in excepting and redirecting yourself for your happiness in life. Time has it's way with prayers in making everything work out for the best if you let it take it's course.

if you can do it, do it. your old state isnt going anywhere. you can always go back if it didnt work out. sometimes you need to close the door on your past to make a better future for yourself. try it, start fresh.

just remember wherever you go, you will be there and take your memories with you; you can run, but you can't hide; with that said, go for it if you feel it will be better.
