No, but if you use water proof mascara your lashes get dried and brittle. They will break off and become smaller. Use a little bit of olive oil at night on your lashes to keep them in good condition.

I don't think that's true.. I've been wearing mascara for over 4 years and I have extremely long eyelashes, most people think mine are fake,... and they are the exact same length as they were before I started wearing mascara.

if mascara gets old it is not good to use it. also remember to cleans your face in the evening before you go to bed because your eyelashes will start to fall out after a while but your eyelashes do not shrink.

i'd listen to your mother; i was once using mascara constantly and i have very thick long lashes. but they ended up feeling like they were getting to be thinner (as weird as that sounds). i cut back on the mascara and also put vasaline on my eyes at night and my eyelashes seem stronger and thicker than before. i know its pretty weird but its true. vasaline really helps.

nope..ive used mascara since i was in the 7th grade (now a freshman in college) and i still have really long eyelashes!

I don't wear mascara at all, I don't have to, but my friend has worn it for about 6 years now, and nothing has changed.

Nope, just make sure u replace it every 3-4 months, and spend a little more money...but get the expensive ones. they're so worth it
