They practice the same religion

They speak languages other than Russian.

They speak other languages because Russia is humongous and people from the west speak a different language that the east.

Have you ever been to Russia? They are not all descendants of SLAVS. There is a lot of Asian descendants in Novosibirsk, and further East. Orthodox Christianity is the main religion, but there are also a lot of Muslims and Roman Catholics too. In America we speak other languages. Hell, it is hard to make English the main language in the USA. I have been in Russia many times, and it really isn't too much different than here. They have a different culture. But it reminds me of the way the USA was during the turn of the century.

None of those really represent Russia at all. It would probably be something like "Many ethnic groups are present, and each group has their own beliefs "
