It's hard to explain WHY exactly I'm a lesbian other than the fact that women make me happy and content in a relationship in a way a man never could. As to my view on gay men, I assume they feel the same about their partners, and the only issue I take is the occasional gay man who makes a point of the fact that he doesn't like the existence of women at large and would be happier if we didn't exist. But that's the exception to the rule, and I'm sure there are some lesbians who act the same way toward men.

While the framework in liking people of the same sex is common ground between gays and lesbians, it's pretty arrogant to think that's how everyone should be. I can't say I have run across the thought process within gay and lesbian circles. Things just are and, truthfully, that means there's no pressure of any romantic angle getting in the way of group dynamics. Of course, I'm assuming "liking" means "attracted". I figure it's all highly personal- understand what you want in a mate and go for it.

i dont know how or why, i just know that i am the way i am.
i think gay men feel the same way about men that i do about women. nobody is missing out on any opportunities here, if we wanted to be with the opposite sex, we would. simple as that.

I'm not sure what exactly you think you're getting at with this question.
I like men...and I like gay men. I have lots of male friends. No one "becomes" gay or lesbian. they are born predisposed to one sexual orientation or another.
No one is missing out on anything if they are happy with who they are.

Actually to me it seems more natural for men to be with men and women to be with women. Just sort of like they are better matched to each other if you get what I'm saying. I kinda suspect everyone of being at least bisexual. Part of me's always surprised when I meet a guy who is so straight, I think "don't you like guys just a little?"

I don't think that any of us really know why we are attracted to certain people much less sexes...Some people are turned on by blondes..some by same sex. I try not to judge anyone on their sexual preference and I think that the only people that are missing anything are those who are lying to themselves...I am a gay male

everyone is different; its a good thing there are some of each type of people. i am glad that the world is full of lesbians; i need someone to help me from time to time with projects that straight guys think they can do but they dont really want to do or are too lazy to do.

Your right I dont understand why I am gay. I just know Im attracted to guys and thats something that is hardwired and not changeable. I dont know why, because of this i dont understand why straight people dont all like guys and why girls dont like guys, quite frankly since i dont like girls i dont know what other purpose girls serve other than being someone to talk to when you want to talk about men. funny.
