Well, what I would do, is that I will tell this so called roommate of yours that she needs to get a life and move on with herself. Help her find a job but at least try to sacrifice a couple more days of living with her and her 2 kids. If she doesn't want a job ask somebody besides us in the Internet. More people can help you. I know I kind of sound like a movie, but its the best thing you should do. Try going out for lunch and tell each other how you really feel. Good Luck and God Bless You with your roommate.

Oh, my god that is tough one. Tell her that you need your apartment back, get the number of the local shelter for women. Most shelters will help her find housing, put her on assistance and most of all give her support she needs. Thier is no nice way of doing this. Your friendship will be lost or already is. Brace yourself, and be strong. A real friend would never put you in this position in the first place. Good luck

Tell her money is tight right now, and you can't afford to pick up her slack. In this situation, there is no nice way to do this. She is taking major advantage of you. Give her to the end of the month, if she doesn't move, seek legal action. If she has two children, she needs to be working and providing them with a better life. You can't feel bad for her, b/c she isn't even trying to help herself.

Explain to her that you are having a hard time paying the bills and that it may help if she finds a job to help pay them considering that she and her young children are living with you. Other wise you will have to ask her to move, because you can not afford the extra expense on your pay alone. If she doesn't comply, help her find somewhere else to stay. There are places that will help her get back up on her feet.

God I practically was this friend, except my kid lived with his dad.
Guess what?
I was actually relieved when my car broke down and I ended up hours away, with my father... well, relieved for her.
Anyway, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
Where I was, it could take a year to legally throw someone out.
In my present county, a letter, notarized, will give a person thirty days and that's it.
If you don't know what it could come down to, then you don't know how to bargain and fight for yourself.
I hope it never comes to that, but you need to take care of # 1!
