Studying the stars for the purpose of finding their effect on the Universe, you, Earth, everybody else, etc is called Astrology. Those who study the stars using the huge telescopes and find new galaxies, planets, etc instead are using the science called Astronomy.
ASTRO=star; Both OLOGY & ONOMY mean "study of"
...in this case, it's just that they are studied in two different ways.

Its Astrology and its not considered science since science requires proof that could be quantified.
But i think Astrology is interesting. Nobody will dispute that fact that the root of Astronomy (science) is Astrology. Ancient astronomy is a direct offshoot of astrology because that's what has excited people to ponder upon the movement of stars. In fact till Isaac Newton time, astronomy and astrology didnt really exist as separate entities. Its only after his period that they parted giving raise to astronomy as a field of science since it is studied based on the facts, observations and proof based on data.

Its called astrology, meaning the study of stars and how they affect our daily lives. It is believed that (From Greek, eg. Hercules ) That different signs come with identical behavior pattern. From my opinion horoscope readings of all signs can be applied to anyones day to day life Even if it wasn't forcasted for them reason being it is a type of encouragement to go out on a positive note
