A 1947 nickel is still only worth 5 cents. However, if you can find a collector, it is completely dependent on what he is willing to pay for it.

In actual scenario, a well circulated 1947 nickel from any mint is worth only the face value. In almost uncirculated grade(with sharp details, luster and little wear), it's still less than $1 if you sell it to a dealer. 1947 nickels are considered as commons and are only sought after by hobbyists in premium uncirculated grades. Values for uncirculated 1947 nickels start from minimum of $1.50, up to $3000 for a 1947-D(Denver mint) with fully struck steps on the Monticello.
