Its really weird...I dont really know him at all. He's got a big ego, and a loud mouth, but he's a great public speaker in the class. Anyway, for the first term, I didnt really like my teacher AT ALL, so I was pretty quite...ish. But this term, I have a new teacher, and I am starting to participate more and more and I've been geting alot of recognition from my teacher for my writing skills, public speaking, and acting. He's never had a prob with me before...but lately he's gotten really mean, and cold towards me....is it becasue he is jeolous? But why would he be? We hardly know eachother! For ex, a few days ago we were acting out a scene from a book, and he went right be4 me. After I did mine, ppl were praising me alot, along with the teacher, and one of his friends were like " hey isnt she good?!" he just scowled at me and left :( I really dont want any enemies, it's getting to be a bit intimidating,he stares at me alot...and when I turn to look at him, he turns away blushing...

His actions are his problem, not yours. No one is required to like us, and we are not required to do things (or not do things) just so people will like us. Live your life on your terms. If he's going to be cold and rude, that's a reflection on his lack of manners. Maybe he's jealous, maybe he's got a bug up his butt that has nothing to do with you, maybe he likes you, but regardless, HIS actions are out of line. If you can ignore him, do so. You could also confront him and ask him why he keeps scowling at you in class. If his actions bother you, talk to your teacher, a parent, or the guidance counselor.

PS If it turns out he likes you, think long and hard about his behavior before you go out with him. If he's rude now, he'll be rude later, and then, his actions will be your business, often with painful results.

Sounds like he has a crush on you and is probably just as intimidated by you. It also sounds like a little bit of jealousy, you might try talking to him, he may make a really good friend.
