usually, the stupid ones are easy to answer. easy questions=easy points on answers.
the reason i clicked on this one, was to point out that it was indeed a stupid question, but then i read the details.
also, sometimes the people asking stupid questions, really don't know the answers, and if we all avoided the stupid questions, then the stupid people wouln't get thier stupid answers.

Alexis is right -- The points are nice.
Besides, stupid questions can be fun (and extremely easy) to answer!

Why is a bee attracted to a flower? Why does Barry Bonds do steroids? There are infinite questions that cannot be answered in this universe. That is what makes life mysterious and grand.

The question should be "Why do people ask stupid questions?" You ask a stupid question, you get a stupid answer.

I was going to tell you philosophically why people answer stupid questions...now you are calling me stupid. So, I guess you asked a stupid question and now, like any woman, I changed my mind. I'm not going to tell you!!! :)

Because there is nothing more convenient for us than to browse the web and find the most meaningless thing on it. And, the fact that you earn points for answering things.
