They haven't been together for at least two years and I've found myself attracted to him. I know that the feeling is mutual but would I be wrong for dating him. I really don't want to hurt my friend and I'm afraid if I bring it to her she'll be upset at me for even asking her. What do I do?

well its been 2 years, so she probably doesnt have any feelings for him. ask her and she'll probably be understanding. but remember, hes an ex, and friends are more important than boyfriends. also, take into account why they broke up. did he cheat on her or something? dont be dating a guy like that. talk to her about it and ask her if it would be ok.

Are you entirely sure there's NOBODY ELSE in the entire world that you could date? Is he the only person alive, that you have to date somebody your friend used to date?

Find somebody with less baggage. Or at least baggage that isn't one of your friends. It may not be wrong, like 11th Commandment wrong...but it's bad form, and I'd be wary of dating somebody when things didn't work out with him and my friend.

I think it's fine if you want to date him, depending on how serious your friend's and his relationship was. If it was a horrible break up and your friend still isn't over him, then he's definitely off limits. If she's completely over him, then it's fine. If I were you, I would talk to your friend about it before anything happens.

I had one of my friends date one of my ex-boyfriends, and it was awkward at first, but I was fine with it. It actually forced me and my ex-boyfriend to become friends again, which was good.

Make sure your friend doesnt have any feelings for him at all and then be like well i like him just be like please and tell her all the things that makes him attracted to him and if u show her you truly love him then she will probably give and and let you have a taste and just when you are around her dont talk about him that much so that the topic isn't awkward and make sure that you he likes you alot and that he will go out with you before you talk to your friend about him that would stink if he didnt like you and would go out with you and you just had to have an awkward talk with your friend for nothing....

I think he is fair game for dating. If she is your real friend, then you should be able to talk to her about it. It's been two years, so they should definately be over eachother by now. Just ask, the worst she can say is no. Why go the rest of your life wondering, what if?
