Franz Kafka...?

Question

is a fiction writer who wrote in German. Part of his work was short stories. In fact, he is known for a certain feature he added to his short stories writing:

I don't remeber much- I remember he is known to tell stories with Irony.

the feature? I am not sure what you mean- I think the Estrangment he adds to his stories.
that distance the reader from the events- or from completely understaind them- the events do not have an explained cause- or place in space in time.

I know he used in his story the Trial, and I think also in The Machine (or something names similiar to that) only a letter to refer to his "main character"

and that both stories critizied the judical system...

I'd have to say his criticism of the current society (the one he lived in of course). I mean look at the Metamorphosis which was clearly a criticism of the way society treated the Jews in Russia. Or look at The Trial which pokes fun about how unjust the legal system was. He essentially puts a sort of true humor to his writings. By that I mean he makes the situations in his writing to seem absurd or funny in order to bring your attention to them. You laugh at how unbelievable it is and than you realize hey this was really happening, and maybe Gregor Samsa as a bug was a symbol or representation of a Jew in the times.

I can think of several possible answers... Most notably, many of his stories feature a character called "Herr K" ("Mister K").

Of course, that might also be regarded as self-insertion.
