Florida State University or University of Washington? UW is a higher ranked school overall, but how does its meteorology program compare? It is really that important after college which school you went to?

FSU has an excellent reputation and I am sure you would find it to be an excellent school. There are really so many very good schools to consider though - Texas A&M, University of Oklahoma, St Louis University, University of Wisconsin, The Pennsylvania State University, Colorado State University, Arizona State University, to mention only a few. My advice would be to consider a smaller university for your undergrad work and then for graduate school ones which specialize in those areas you are interested in.

Florida State is much better. I kno you didnt include this school but the University of Miami, is better than both of the schools. Its in the tops and its a private school. Expensive like crazy (90,000 in 2 years) I'm going to UM to major for Meteorology.
