YES! i think its so dumb that its not..okay it doesnt make any sense..most straight marriages end in divorce anyways so i dont see why they act like its such a big deal..i bet gay marriages would last just as long or probably longer than most straight marriages! because its something that we've had to strive for not just something thats been givin to us to be carelessly abused

Marriage is a loving bond and spiritual commitment between two people who love each other, not our government. I'm Gay. If I decide I love some one to tangle up with financially, and any other way, I will find a way. I'm not waiting for Joe Hick Fundie to approve.
Still I believe that I should have the same legal rights as heterosexuals.
I think this whole marriage thing being sacred for only a male and female completely bogus. When I worked in a bindery (making books / printing), when we would merge one component with another we called it "marrying"... Sh*t, if the book and its cover can get "married", then so can I!!!!
Gregory
PS. Just because I can doesn't mean I will. Relationships are a B-itch!

Yes. It helps the economy in several ways. One is the amount that gay people would spend on weddings. I feel that gays marrying each other will not threat hetero marriage in any way. Are large amounts of straights suddenly going to stop marrying the ones they love because they wouldn't want to share the meaning of marriage with gays? No. That would not happen. The people upset about gay marriage and want to ban it are the same people who get mad when immigrants don't learn English fast enough to suit them. The 'sanctity of marriage' is just a word. If anything, gay marriage would strengthen American society as more hard-working dedicated gays would have the stability some of them feel they now lack, partners would be able to decide each other's medical, financial, and legal best interest without being brushed aside and called 'just a friend'. Potentially, some of the gay married couples might decide to adopt and raise children that would otherwise languish in a government orphange.

That depends on what identity America has, or anyplace, for that matter. If it's an anything goes place, where right and wrong don't matter, go for it. But gay is not natural; just look at the human anatomy.
Not to be a broken record, but there were some cities in the Bible that God destroyed for sinful behavior, and gay actions were specifically mentioned. But hey, why not? America is already destroying itself anyway. Who needs God when we can destroy oursleves?

YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! We pay taxes, too, but don't get even
half of the benefits of our "strait" counterparts!!! And one strait
friend of mine said this "They deserve to be as miserable as
everyone else...so yes!!!"
Even though I am 1000% in favor, I would advise that marraige,
whether gay or straight, isn't the best solution for everyone. It has
been sold as the "solution" or the answer for everyone. It isn't.
Many people rush into marraige without the emotional maturiy
of a true commitment, and marriage may be an outdated institution. Everyone should have the option, but not duty, of
marraige (or a civil union equivalent). It would provide a way that
gays could commit to each other and thus destroy a cultural
stereotype.(ie promiscuity linked to gays).

Yes, what is the problem with it? If you do not want to treat homosexuals as equal human being to heterosexuals, then maybe homosexuals should not pay as much in taxes. If they are going to be second class citizens, then don't charge them like they are first class.

Yes it should. There's no reason why in the US gay people couldn't and shouldn't have the same rights and privileges as married couples.

I have cried so many times over this issue. I just don't get why if I meet and fall in love with another woman I can't marry her and have a family with her. PLEASE explain to me what I'm doing wrong, why I can't be legally allowed the same rights as you?
