okay, the difference is that manga is the book. Anime is japenese animation. otherwise the show. and to answer your nezt question YESS!! i LOVE fruits basket. i really like kyo and yuki.

manga is really base on the anime serie but it might have things that they didnt show on the anime series or taken thinks from the serie and dont put it on the manga but is really the same story but the difference is that it migth be different as the anime
Anime is really a series of cartoon in japan (the big difference to the americans cartoons is that anime is way cooler) is not a big difference exept that anime is the cartoon so is longer that the manga but the only big differene is that anime is the show and manga is a comic book
and yes i love fruit basket i really love it is so so cool that one of my favorites anime

manga= manga is the original storie of all source of anime
its a book and its drawn
the storie is usaully longer and MUCH betta
but its depends on the authors skills in drawing
anime= is BASED in the manga
is usally shorter and anime is only made for the really popular mangas or the more simple ones
but personally mangas are betta if the artist is talented

Manga = Japanese Comic book that sometimes explain more of the storyline than the anime version or live action version if they have one. Read from righ to left, rather than the usual left to right in american comic books.
Anime = Japanese animation, usually taken from manga or made into a manga. Has color, voice actors, movement and etc. Has more details than American cartoons.
Manga makes you use your mind to create the scene, that's why I like it more than watching anime....gets your imagination going.

manga is a comic book or graphic novel. i believe this is a japanese word. anime is just the japanese shortcut for animation in japan.
