The first person's answer is wrong. There is a very EASY way to do this.
1. Meters are 100x's bigger than cm, so just move over two decimals.
2.A Liter is 1000 times greater than a mL, so move across 3 decimals.
3. A gram is 1000 times smaller than a kG, so move across 3 decimals.
Of course, the direction you move depends on what you are converting to. From a larger to a smaller unit, move right, and from a smaller to a larger, move left, in your decimals.
Note: I cannot believe people are getting these wrong. Every single answer I have seen here is wrong in one way or another. milli is 1/1000th, centi is 1/100th. 1000mL =1L, not 100.
