Both degrees are attainable with honest effort. You decide which of the subjects would hold your attention and passion till completion. Match your strengths ( reading retention, math, science, etc. ) with the subject that is going to keep you interested. I studied Criminal Justice and entered into Law Enforcement, City, State and Federal levels, and 9 years later had had enough. I don't feel that time was wasted, I just lost the passion. You never know until you go for it. Once you do, if you change your mind, just think ( Veni, Vidi, Vici ) and move on. Many people start out with one goal and when they reach that goal, reassess and start to climb another mountain. Don't let yourself get confused before you reach the starting gate.

Now that you have what you want as far school in the 1st step
both are good fields of studies, but I ask why just go for an associate, when you can go for the BA,master,or PhD.
Stop putting a fence around you.
Confused,is all the answer are there you have not put them in
order.

try taking the beginning class for each of them, that way you can get an idea of the subject matter and you can always double major too. Or, you can just start out by taking the general education requirements that you need to get the degree before going into specifics.

Well I guess this will be quit a strange answer but here goes:

Seeing that you have a g.e.d I'm guessing that you had some problems in life. dysfunctional family, add/adhd? you would be great in law enforcement. just bad grades, then buckle down and put 125% into you work and you may succeed. But never let anyone tell you that you cant get to where you want to be. its all in your hands

criminal justice! A business degree is fine if you're getting a bachelors but if you're going for an associates definately you'll be able to land a better job for better pay i.e. police officer. A associates degree in business will land you flippin burgers or a standing teller at a bank.

If you're unsure that are many free tests on the internet that will help you decide based on your likes/dislikes and your lifestyle.
