If you are an adult and have a house of your own explain to them that all your memories as a child are there. If you are a kid explain to them now you will nedd to make new friends.

As some one when I was growing up who's parent's moved often not much you can do about stopping the move if they want to move,

what you can ask for if moving far away that your parents will pay for your friend to come an visit from time to time, allow you to call your old friend

but it will be hard but you will make new friends and enjoy the change in life

unless you have 1/3 ownership in the home, there is not a lot you can do. parents/adults have reasons to sell a home, the marketability in the area, job transfers, needing to increase the space or lessen it, there a lot more reasons why they need to do what they are going to do and, alas, there is not much that you can do to stop it. just remember that what they do will help you in the future.
