I would consider hang gliding an extreme sport, as I knew a woman who spent time in a BODY CAST because of a bad landing.

I always wanted to go hang gliding. I don't think I ever considered it an extreme sport.

you're hanging in the air...

the fact that there weren't any deaths last year just means that ppl take their safety seriously when they are doing it.

also, take into account other injuries: head and neck problems, broken bones, lost teeth, etc.
