It's according where your ants are.... If they are inside around food. Take the food out and spray bug spray especially for ants. You can also buy little containers that trap them inside and they can't get out. If you want to block there path as they come into an area-use red pepper. That stuff even works in the sand. If your camping. Good luck.

The best thing we've found are bait traps, the ants go in and eat the poison and they take it back to there home and the stuff kills the ants in the hole, after about a day or two there gone.

I use Ant B Gone. It's a liquid you can put where ever you see the ants and they are attracted to it. They nibble on it and then take it back to the colony and it kills the whole colony. It doesn't smell or stain. It works great. You can get it at any home hardware store, or I'm sure any home and gardening store

We had a real problem with ants when we bought our trailer. We went to the garden center and bought terro. It comes in liquid or in packets to set out they are good for a year and they take it back to the nest. Try not to place in house around kitchen or ants will start coming in to get to bait.

apply a 10 ' band around perimeter of with a good granule pesticide.
If you purchase granules at lowes or homedepot just make certain that the active ingredient is of the highest concentrate.
Keep in mind the granules that the big box stores are childs play when compared to professional chemicals.

they absolutely hate vinegar! if you can find where they are coming in or where their nest is, douse it with vinegar, and they will move elsewhere.
