I am referring to a relatively new pair of shoes that within a few minutes of putting them on they are squeaking. So I don't think it's due to sweating feet since I just put them on.

Its just sometimes there's moisture on the ground, or if its clean tile floors. Sweating feet doesn't cause the squeaking. Don't worry about it. If you really want to stop the squeaking, dust the bottom of your shoes with Baby Powder.

You might have dry rusty feet. Spray the inside of your shoes with WD40 before you put them on.
