YES, there are a lot of wealthy people there.
it used to be the largest residential siting of Jews in London.

You dont have to be jewish to live in golders green.
Northern Line doesn't have a great reputation but most of the time its ok. There are reasonable london bus routes, and you are right on top of National Express secondary coach station .. perfect for going up the M1 and anywhere where you would start on M1.
There is a reasonably long and interesting high road. Excellent for eating, and quite good for local shopping.
Others have mentioned Jewish orientation. It's less so than it was , and the Jews in the area are more liberal than the ultra orthodox you might find in Stamford Hill (I say might find .. if you see anyone in the street in Stamford Hill its 10:1 the guy has a tall hat and dreadlocks!)
You are also close to good parks if that is your bag.
I haven't lived there but it always feels safe area to me. I'd be happy to live there except that buying houses in the better parts is more expensive than other places not too far away.

nice compared from most london suburbs but it depends on what you want ?
it has a tube station national coach station , nice sandwich / bagel shops, and if you are jewish then it has lots of jewish cultural aspects aswell
the suburbs are quiet and lots of semi detached houses and some good schools , not far from brent cross shopping center
not much in the way of pubs/clubs ect
i would say it is an avrage place to live in terms of quality of life , and very expensive place to buy
there are far nicer places to live in the uk , for much less money , but hey thats london for ya!!

Yes, without doubt. Convenient for extensive public transport and roads. 20 Minutes from centre of London. Plenty of facilties. Expensive though.

It's known as the Jewish area. If you are Jewish you will fit right in there.
