I got invited to a sweet 16 party and it says dress casual. What do i wear?

When in doubt, call the hostess, better be sure, and not show up in shorts if everyone else is wearing a skirt. I would guess, jeans and a decent top, with nothing hanging out or over. Is this a daytime event, evening, private home or a rented space? Don't be shy about asking, and, find out what the color scheme is, so you wont clash. Gift certificates are nice presents, and always appreciated. Have fun, best wishes

If you are more of the tomboy type, than wear some slacks with some casual shoes. Or if you more girly, than take the suggestion fo tomboy, or wear a beautiful dress with sexy heals. I would prefer red, or gold for colors.

Dont overdo your make-up and dont wear a too flashy dress. Try to wear something in which you are comfortable in(which is most important), looks hot and cute, but at same time looks very innocent.You are suppose to look 'sweet' after all... isnt it!!!

u should ask.. but im guessing like dress pants/skirt cuz casual 2 me is jeans but dis is a 16... if u wear pants then ur friend will shine...

Your everyday school clothes would probably be fine- jeans and a nice shirt or a casual skirt and long-sleeved tee.

Wear something that is casual, something like school clothes like you always wear but new that is not seen or warn before.

i'd say verry skinny jeans and a pretty, lacey-ish tunic. Hair in an updo, nice earings, kinda elegant accesories that match out fit. or you can go for a casual-ish dress like this: http://www.metrofashion.net/uima/im_monpetite_3.jpg

casual just means not formal. so anything you want! try a sexy and sophisticated dress, just don't outdress whoever is throwing the party unless you're prepared to be hated.

You should wear something a little nicer than you'd wear to school, around the house, or on the weekend, but not overly dressy.

Ask what you will be doing...hanging out and socializing/dancing....a skirt would be nice with a layering of tops or a fancy sweater top. Something funky for accessories, with comfort in mind. Enjoy!!!!.
