It is normal to start dilating in labour. Women who have had children previously can become very soft and the cervix can open a bit before labour starts. You still have a month to go...so try and relax :)

I think everyone is different. I've heard of girls being 4 cm dialated at 36 weeks, but some not at all. When I went to the hospital in full- blown labour with my second I was still only 2cm, however my body does not dialate as I ended up with C-sections with both my children. Good luck!

hi i answered your other question well some women start dialating when they are 34 weeks others dont dilate untill birth while others do not dialate at all untill they are induced or baby is taken by c section.
oh yeah women also have pre term labor dialation less then 34 weeks as you can see nobody can specifacly answer that question as every women is totally diffrent i think from experience though first babies average some dialation around 38 weeks with subsequent pregnancies these ladies are usually dialated weeks befor giving birth or not at all one or the other hope ive helped you here goodluck.

i started to dialate i think at 36 wks because last wed i was completely closed and i was about to be 36 wks on thursday and on monday ( this wk ) i was 3 cm dialated....so im 37 wks today good luck hope it goes as smooth as i did

I didn't start dilating until I was induced, with all 3 kids!

I started dialating one week before my due date. My son came 2 weeks late and was born by c-section.....Unplanned one, his heart rate dropped when I had contractions...Good luck!
