He has probable been down this road before so it shouldn't be as bad on him as you think. Your best bet is to get him somewhere alone where you wont be embarrising him and tell him straight up that he is not the guy you are looking for.

I'm sorry, but by the way this sounds to me, telling him without hurting his feelings is impossible. He likes you a lot, and the fact that you don't like him back will make him depressed.

Also, you shouldn't have excepted the lavish gifts he's been offering you...if you don't like him but you take them anyway, that's taking advantage of him. Give them back, say that you can't accept these, and that you're sorry. Chances are that you'll tell him you don't like him the same way he likes you then, because you've already hurt his feelings by returning the gifts but you figure you might as well go all the way, which is probably best.

I hope I helped...

This is a hard one. Even if he is geeky he has feelings too. It is not fair to him for you to continue accepting his gifts if you don't have any feelings for him. You need to have an honest talk with him and let him know you can't accept his gifts any longer and give back the ones you already have if he will accept them back. He is a nice guy and you love being his friend but you know in your heart he cares too much and you can't return the love.

How nice of you to be concerned for another person! Unfortunately, you have to think of you in this situation, and not put his happiness above yours. If it doesn't make you feel good to have this from the guy, let him know. Tell him right away though, because some people invest a lot and their hopes grow, especially if they are desperate. The true character of the person will immerge as you go through this process. Good luck!

The sooner you do it - the better! Nothing hurts more than thinking you've been lead on. Definitely give back all the stuff but do let him know that you were flattered by his attention and touched by his poem but right now it's not what you are looking for, but do reassure him he's a good catch for the right girl.

Ooo seen this before first of all give all the stuff back and gently break it to him that you have no passionate feelings for him as he does for you then maybe if he is really heart broken ask him to hang out with you alone or your friends so he can still feel as if you two were still friends and it will lift a ton of guilty weight off your shoulders hope i helped :D

start by thanking him for the gifts, and then tell him that u perfer that he not give u any more of them for some reason and then say you would still like to be friends with him. nicely say all that to him but dont get nervous or laugh.

Just tell him. He's going to have to learn that in life, some things just don't work out. But tell him somewhat nicely, like, "I'm sorry, but I'm just not interested in you on that level. But can we be friends?"

Whatever you do, don't tell him a lie about why you can't date him, because if you do end up dating someone you told him you couldn't date, then that would not be good.

Just tell him I'm really sorry but I just don't feel the same way...if that hurts him then he either really liked you or there is something wrong with him

say thank you for the gifts, but don't keep them because you're leading him on. since you've obviously kept them he probably thinks you're considering the idea. tell him you don't feel the same way, but you're flattered...and you GOTTA give the gifts back!
