Pele was definately an overall better player than the rest...He was not only skillful with the ball, but he had great passing skills and could score not only with shots but headers also, which maradona had difficulty doing. Right now its definately Roni, but I think that if Ronaldo had not gotten injured he would have been the best...I was never a big fan of maradona or platini

Well i have to say that Zidane should be in your list along with Garincha, G.Best and many other greats, but the fact is that when it comes to most skillful Maradona wins hands down and then comes the legendary bunch behind him...
if it's up to anyone then maradona is 1st and the 5 players such as zizou, ronaldo, best, pele, and garincha are all tied for second but zidane is on top for being soooooooo perfect ;D

In my opinion pele; he had great speed and command of both legs, dribbling, stamina, strong. Maradona would come close as he also had potence and speed even for his size, no to mention his great left leg, not so good with the right. As for more recent players Ronaldinho is avery complete and skillful player and also Consider Zidane who has been the most skillful, complete and really great player for a long time

I didnt see pele play although I read more about his prowess and even I've heared severally that he was a good player. that dont really matter coz I'd bet for maradona. I think maradona is the most skillful footballer the world has ever witnessed.

Pele. Great creativity; from the time he was a mere 17 years old or younger he was world class. Ronaldinho has some of that creativity now.

Maradona all the way. He jumped over tumbling bodies to get that ball into the net. He was so good they had to put two or three players to defend his every move.

i would have to say Luiz Ronaldo as when he was in early 20's there was no player in history that was as skillfull as him, he had everything pace, skill and detemination that no player could stop him from scoring a goal.shame that he got so badly incured that it robbed him and us from seeing what would have been the greatest player ever.he was "the Phenomenon" and maybe he still is we will just have to see at Ac Milan.

Stanley Bowles was the greatest ever and he trained in a betting shop for most of his career.
