Depends on what vehicle you like best, and fits your needs of course. But Mazdas are more reliable than Fords, or Mercury. They tend to have less glitches.

lol you are right, they are the same models, that's just the way Ford and Mazda is. Then Mercury is just an upscale version of the Fords. Yet it still seems Fords have more glitches and problems then Mazdas. I work in a repair shop, and rarely see Mazdas but I see Fords daily. Fords are a mechanics best friend.

Of course Mazdas aren't as popular as Ford, at least not around here. We have 4 Ford dealerships and 2 Mazdas in the area.

I took a test drive of the Escape and the engine was horribly trashy! I know the Tribute is its mechanical twin, but now I'm sold on the Tribute. The problem there is, I want the same options but the Tribute (inexplicably!!!) doesn't have Navigation as an option.

duh. mazda and ford share the same models. go to consumers report and check out their repair history. they are probably all the same car. lol
