I'd have to pick Sweet Lou Whitaker and Alan Trammell, they played 19 years 2gether at 2B-SS, and made more double plays than any other 2B-SS duo ever, and both had over 2,100 career hits and are definately best all round 2B-SS duo ever, and the guy who picked Vizquel-Alomar can't even spell the names right lol

Thats not an easy question to answer. Valid points are being made for Whitaker/Trammell and Alomar/Vizquel. Let me add another combination to the list - Joe Morgan and Dave Concepcion of the Reds. Perhaps I am looking back rather nostaligically (I hated those Reds teams but enjoyed watching them play) but there wasn't much that combo couldn't do.

In the last 20 years Sweet Lou and Trammell. Before that Nellie Fox and Luis Aparicio. Jeter and Cano?? c'mon they aren't even in the team photo.

I'd go with Robinson Cano and Derek Jeter. They made a tremendous amount of double plays this year so they have got no problem defensively. They also rocked the slate offensively, I mean look at their numbers. Cano this year was .342 BA and Jeter was .343 two of the Top 5 in the whole MLB this past year. I mean, it doesn't get much better than that.

Roberto Alomar and Omar Vizquel Hands Down, defensively and offensively. Why Jeter and Cano, Jeter's been good for many years but they have only been together for 2 years. Obviously you people don't know much about baseball history, you just base it on current days.

Well, it might be too early to say this, but Derek Jeter and Robby Cano. Jeter his .343 last season, Cano .342. They are great turning the double play too. They should have several more years left.
